Witschi Micromat C System – computer-controlled

Modular measuring system with automatic testing cycle with which by means of the motorised
Micromat C microphone and the corresponding PC software up to eight independent measuring
channels can be realised. This makes an ideal workstation for adjusting and examining small
series in production and also
in the repair service. All measured values can be computer processed and the system can
additionally be integrated into a network by means of WiCoTrace.

Four different measurement options are available:
- Standard measurement with numerical display of rate, amplitude and beat
error. In addition, these values are graphically displayed on the screen.
- Continuous measurement with diagram recording or graphic display of the acoustic beat
noises of the watch enabling a detailed analysis of the state of the escapement to be carried out
- Execution of the measurements in a clearly-defined interval during a certain period, where the
measurement results are graphically recorded over the complete period (interval measurement).
- Identification of the balance wheels precise centre of balance to localise problems in the
escapement (measurement of the centre of gravity).

Scope of delivery:
Micromat C System complete with
automatic multi-position microphone with integrated measurement electronics and extensive
software. By means of a built-in joystick, in manual mode up to eleven, and in automatic
sequence mode up to six, different testing positions can be selected. "The PC is not included in
the scope of delivery".

PC system requirements:
- Processor: min. P4, 2 GHz
- Working memory (RAM): min. 1 GB
- Free hard disc capacity: min. 40 GB
- USB interface to use the Micromat C
- Network connection if networking by means of WiCoTrace
- Operating system: Windows XP, SP2
- Screen with 1280 x 1024 pixels, recommended: 19-inch flat screen.

Important note!
For installing a multi-channel Micromat C testing station, depending on the PC, there must
additionally be a USB-hub connected. Witschi recommends a tested four-way USB-hub, as this
alone guarantees trouble-free operation of the instrument.
