A swallowed coin cell often goes unnoticed – the symptoms are non-specific, and the child is not yet able to explain what happened. This is exactly where colour alert technology comes in: as soon as the cell comes into contact with saliva, it visibly dyes the mouth blue within seconds. A suspicion becomes a clear observation. The dye is harmless and washes out with water or when brushing teeth.
