Gut strings

Gut strings are used as traditional tension and drive cables in the repair and restoration of large clocks. They transfer the force of the weights to the clockwork and, thanks to their natural elasticity, ensure that the mechanism runs smoothly and authentically.

Gut strings are the ideal choice of material, especially for historic grandfather clocks, wall clocks and tower clocks, as they preserve the original functional behaviour and enable repairs to be carried out in keeping with the style of the clock.
