Function
The device checks whether the IC or coil of a quartz movement is working correctly. Feedback is provided by an audible signal and a visual LED signal.

If neither signal is present, this indicates faulty electronics or a flat battery in the watch. The test is contactless and does not require the case to be opened - a clear advantage in day-to-day servicing.
