Boron Nitride Spray HeBoCoat SL-E 125, Release Agent 500 ml

Heat-resistant boron nitride release agent in a spray can: it prevents molten metal from sticking to ingot moulds, protects against welding and soldering spatter and is heat-resistant up to 900 °C in air. Ideally suited for use with the Lampert Fusion and Indutherm casting machines.

When casting ingots and bars, the release layer in the mould determines how easily the casting comes away. HeBoCoat SL-E 125 forms a thin, dry boron nitride film to which molten metal does not adhere, resulting in smooth cast surfaces. As the lubricating film contains no oils, greases or silicones, your work stays considerably cleaner than with conventional release agents.

The ethanol base wets the surface evenly and dries very quickly. An inorganic binder ensures that the coating adheres firmly to metal, glass, ceramics and graphite, particularly at high temperatures. Besides its use in ingot moulds, the spray is suitable as an anti-spatter coating for welding and soldering, as a release agent for sintering supports, for coating crucibles, nozzles and stoppers, and as a release agent and lubricant in glass processing. Applied thinly, it goes a long way.
