X - Plastic Glasses

The X series from Sternkreuz forms the basis of classic watch repair and includes the proven standard domed plastic glasses (plexiglass) in a round design. Unlike the reinforced versions, these crystals do not have an integrated metal ring and are mainly used in traditional wristwatches, where the crystal is pressed directly into the edge of the case.

These crystals are characterized by their high flexibility during installation and excellent light transmission, which shows off the dial to its best advantage. The acrylic material used is particularly shatterproof and does not splinter, making it a safe choice for everyday watches. A major advantage of the X series is its ease of maintenance: since the material is homogeneous, scratches that occur during daily use can be polished out with minimal effort, leaving no trace. This ensures that the clear view is maintained in the long term without the need for immediate replacement.
