Magnetic fields affect the running accuracy of mechanical watches, which may advance or lag. It is a good idea to demagnetise the mechanism after each overhaul or cleaning, whether it is complete or dismantled.

Tools can also be a «source of danger» and carry magnetism. That’s why we recommend demagnetising them before using them on watches. At the touch of a button, the MAGNET-O demagnetises a complete watch, dismantled parts, cases or tools in a few thousandths of a second.

Warning: quartz electronic watches must not be demagnetised.
