The masking pen is a ideal addition to the electroplating product range. The pen can also be used for acidic gold baths and rhodium baths. With the thin-flowing red masking ink both fine contours and larger areas can easily be masked. It is the ideal aid for masking gemstones, pearls, corals etc.

The drying time at room temperature (20 - 22°C) is about 5 minutes. Before electroplating, the workpiece must be degreased electroöytically or by hot degreasing. After degreasing, the durfaces must not be touched prior to electroplating. After masking, be sure to allow adequate drying time (about 5 minutes). After electroplating the ink can be removed with industrial spirits or a similar solvent.

Important!

The masking ink is not compatible with alkaline baths and elextrolytes. Therefore do not use in combination with silver and cyanide-based gold plating baths.

After masking, ultrasonic cleaning and electrolytic degreasing can no longer be carried out.
