Spherical Allen key for threading:

The shaft of this key has an internal diameter of 1.1 mm and it is therefore suitable not only for
standard pearl threading but also for heavy stone necklaces strung on thicker thread or on thin
wire.

Working the key in
In the end of or in both ends of the pearl or stone necklace, a 1.8 mm-Ø hole is bored. The shaft
is fixed in place with 2-component adhesive or pearl cement. When the adhesive is dry, the
pearl or stone necklace is threaded. The thread is drawn through the shaft of the key bonded in
place, over the head of the key then taken back through the shaft and tied off after the second
pearl or stone. The key always remains in the end part or parts of the pearl or stone necklace.
For rethreading, the old thread is simply removed and replaced by the new thread ergänzt.
