Gold Testing Acid for 14 kt (585)

Gold testing acid is an essential tool for jewelers, gold buyers, pawn shops, and precious-metal dealers. It is used for the quick and reliable verification of whether a piece of jewelry or gold item truly matches the claimed gold alloy.

Application:

1. Make a streak on the testing stone
   • Rub the item firmly across the testing stone until a clearly visible streak appears.
2. Apply the acid
   • Place a small drop of the 14-kt testing acid directly onto the streak.
3. Observe the reaction
   • Carefully watch the change of the streak; it should dissolve on its own after 20–30 seconds.
