This suface-hardened saw plate is the elementary tool of all kinds of sawing work. The sawing of sheets (especially thin sheets under 1 mm) can be done effortlessly even in soft annealed condition. By working very close to the edge of the saw plate, the finest sheets are kept vibration-free and protected from bending. The bench edge is not damaged by the saw plate. For linear saw cuts, it can serve as a cutting guide
While the saw supoort should be rigidly fixed for linear sawing, the possibility of a swivelling support causes comfortable working when sawing contour-rich shapes.
