Tension spring with end loop

A large clock spring with end loop is a strong, spirally wound drive spring. The end loop – a curved, eyelet-like shape at the end of the spring – serves to anchor the spring securely to the winding hook. This allows the spring to transfer force in a controlled manner during tensioning and relaxation without slipping or jamming.
