Sliding Pendulums

Sliding pendulums differ significantly from pendulums with regulating nuts.

• Purely decorative – the pendulum has no influence on timekeeping.
• Driven by the clockwork – a small motor or pendulum coil moves the pendulum independently of the movement.
• Lightweight construction – usually made of thin metal or plastic so that the motor requires little energy.

This design enables smooth, even swinging without affecting the precision of the quartz movement.
