Pickling Agent “Neacid”

The legendary pickling agent in powder form for removing oxides and flux residues on precious metals. Safe & easy to mix with water (Follow the directions !). Does not produce corrosive or dangerous fumes.

Neacid is a pickling agent in powder form. When it is dissolved in water a highly efficient acid bath is formed to remove oxides and fluxes from cast and soldered objects produced from precious metal alloys. It is also suitable for 14 and 18 carat colored and white gold as well as for silver alloys. For Palliag and silver alloys a pickling time of 5min must not be exceeded. These alloys will not become entirely bright; copper oxides, however, will be dissolved without any residues. During extended pickling these alloys will be attacked and obtain a darker color. For 8 carat decorative gold the risk of stress corrosion cracking exists so that Neacid can only be recommended for stress-free casting.
