Quattro Parallel VP-160
vulcanising press
Vulcanising press Quattro Parallel VP-160
Extra-class vulcanising press: in this vulcanising press, the top heating plate is moved
downwards by an easily-turned handwheel with four gear wheels and four threaded spindles.
The top heating plate is guided parallel in this way and remains perfectly stable during the whole
of the vulcanisation process, guarantees a compact (not spongy) and parallel rubber shape.
The rubber shape has long-term durability because in vulcanisation a substantially higher
density is achieved.
For the whole of the pot life – that is the time during which the rubber remains workable (liquid)
and has a very large expansion coefficient – it is extremely important that extremely high forces
can be developed: that for example in a 110 x 90 mm rubber mould the hydraulic pressure can
increase from 200 bar to 400 bar. For example, in a pneumatic vulcanising press, this high
pressure results in the heating plate opening and this causes the all-important density during the
pot life to be compensated, which leads to undesirable consequences.
This is why we have developed the Quattro-Parallel solution. This axcludes the possibility of
spongy rubber mouldings and there is no more waste! Whether your vulcanination frame is in
the centre or to the side, you always get a 100% parallel, dense and stable rubber moulding.
- To reduce heat transmission to the vulcanising press there are two heat-bridges built into each
heating plate: a 10 mm mineral fibre panel and a ventilated bridge.
- Threaded spindles and gear-wheels are of high-quality steel
- Each heating plate has a separate temperature control
- Diameter of the heating plates: 160 mm
- Room between the heating plates: 108 mm
- Largest vulcanisable form: 110 x 90 mm
Technical details:
Heating output: 1000 watts (1.0 kW)
Temperature setting range: 0 °C – 180 °C
Weight: 31 kg
Dimensions (L x B X H): 345 × 260 × 600 mm
Operating voltage: 230 V / 50-60 Hz
